Three nights at Ecopsia. One big ceremony at the heart of it.
A weekend held around the longest day of the year — forty-eight hours of nervous-system work, fire-lit ritual, and one big ceremony on the solstice itself.
This isn’t a wellness weekend. It’s a return. To the body. To the breath. To the version of you who knew, before everything got loud.
Four ceremonies. Two morning workshops. Foraging on the land. A fire in the evening. And on the solstice itself — a sound bath with Andrea, and cacao with Deb, held in the same circle.
This retreat is for women — at every age and every stage of life. Whether you’re thirty or sixty, single or partnered, building something or unbuilding something, raising children or coming back to yourself after years of raising them — you’re welcome here.
If you feel a little lost. If there’s a spark you can’t yet ignite. If something in you is asking for space, ceremony, women, the outdoors, the fire — you’ll find your people here.
After a day of inner work and an afternoon walking the land, we gather around the fire pit, crowned in the flowers you foraged that morning. Drumming, singing, silence when it’s needed. This is where Saturday lands.
A walking, foraging, meditating afternoon — gathering what the land offers, weaving it into crowns, preparing yourself for the fire. The preparation is the ceremony.
Andrea’s sound baths are something else. Frame drum, crystal bowls, ocean drum, chimes — and a voice so pure and beautiful it takes the whole ceremony to another level. Most sound healers work with the instruments. Andrea works with her instruments and her voice, weaving them together until the body forgets to hold on.
Lying down, eyes closed, you don’t have to do anything. The sound moves through you in a way the talking mind can’t argue with. You’ll leave the room different than you walked in.
Deb is on another level. She has trained in the Andean and Peruvian lineage of cacao — the real medicine tradition, learned at the source — and she leads her circles from the heart, never from a script.
She has just returned from another three weeks in Peru. Three weeks deeper into the medicine, the wisdom, the practice. What she brings back into the circle isn’t something you can read in a book or learn on a weekend course.
You don’t sit in Deb’s ceremony and feel like she’s facilitating. You feel like she’s holding something ancient, and inviting you into it. Held alongside Andrea’s sound on the solstice itself, this is the heart of the weekend.
All prices per person, fully inclusive of three nights, all meals, all ceremonies and workshops.
Ecopsia is a small, intentional retreat space tucked into the Shropshire countryside, built and run by Paula Williams. Fifteen years inside the retreat industry, now holding the space she always wished existed for women in this stretch of life.
Nature is woven through the house — in the decor, the textures, the candle-soft lighting. The studio has a fairy-light ceiling and a stillness you can feel before anyone speaks. The dining room gathers everyone around a single oak table. Every corner has been chosen with retreat work in mind.
You won’t be looked after by a venue. You’ll be looked after by Paula.
